Adding Activities to Your Course
Activities are interactive tools used to engage students in learning and assess their progress. This tutorial demonstrates how to add Activities into your course.

Configuring an Assignment Activity
The Assignment activity allows teachers to collect work from students, review it, and provide feedback including grades. The work a student submits is visible only to the teacher and not to other students. This tutorial will guide you through setting up an Assignment in Moodle.

Configuring a Chat Activity
This tutorial describes how to configure a chat activity in Moodle. The chat activity allows students and the professor to have a real-time discussion via text. Chat room discussions can be recorded for future review by the professor or students. They are a great for collaboration or for office hours.

Configuring a Forum Activity
This tutorial explains how to set up a Forum activity. The Forum allows students and instructors to communicate and collaborate through the use of a discussion board. Instructors can create topics or allow students to originate topics. Students in the course can “post”
replies, and “subscribe” if they want to receive an email when posts are made to a particular forum.

Importing Question Bank from Textbooks
Sometimes your textbook will supply questions for you to use in your exams. This tutorial will walk you through the steps to import those question files into your question bank in Moodle.
Adding Questions using GIFT Format
GIFT format allows someone to use a text editor to write multiple-choice, true-false, short answer, matching missing word and numerical questions in a simple format that can be imported. The GIFT format is also an export file format available in Question bank.
When creating a large numbers of questions, GIFT can provide a quick way of bulk loading questions either into a question category, or into a Lesson.

Configuring the Wiki Activity
This document describes how to configure a wiki activity in Moodle. The wiki activity is a great place for students to collaborate on a written project. It produces a learning artifact that can be carried from course to course.

The Moodle Workshop activity allows students to submit assignments and then do self-assessments or receive peer assessments of their submission. The self-assessment or peer assessment is based on criteria that the instructor establishes in the assessment form. Students receive two grades: one for their submission and one for their assessment.
