Pre-Phase Checklist

  • An integrated structure of student interaction and learning activities
  • Effective instructional strategies selected
  • A system of grading developed
  • A completed course syllabus

Overview

The Teach phase consists of the following activities:

  1. Determine a logical sequence to introduce topics to students.
  2. Facilitate student interaction and progress through learning activities
  3. Develop a grading system that reflects the full range of learning goals, activities, and assessments.

Teach Phase Objectives:

In the Teach phase you will:

  • create a course structure
  • select effective instructional strategies
  • integrate the structure and strategies into an overall scheme of learning activities.
  • develop a grading system

Rationale:

After you have created the basic components of the course, The TEACH phase is where your course design is assembled into a coherent whole.
