Student video projects are a great alternative to in-class presentations but what tools are out there to create them and how can students turn in/share their work most efficiently?

In this workshop you will learn how to design an effective video project assignment, get a quick introduction to tools your students could use to create video projects and learn how to configure Moodle so students can turn in video projects without difficulty.

Dr. Edie McClellan, our local APA expert, will share some tips and tricks on formatting documents in Word for APA.  Join us for this hands-on workshop in the CIS Computer Lab.  You will be able to take this knowledge and share with your students so that their papers are formatted properly.

Led by Dr. Sarah Whiteford, Conversations on Student Cheating will discuss strategies that today’s students are using to cheat in both inseat and online courses.  Suggestions will be provided to help combat cheating in your classroom, and we will also discuss appropriate sanctioning, responses, and reporting of students who have been caught cheating.  This workshop will be structured with an informational session, first. Then we will discuss as a group about your experiences with cheating at Midway and include discussion on handling situations where cheating has occurred.
