Password Registration

Self-Service Password Reset

Midway University IT makes it easy for you to reset your password if you ever forget it. We have collaborated with Microsoft to use their Self-Service Password Reset utility. This utility integrates directly with your Windows account, allowing you to reset your password quickly and easily. Before you will be able to use the system, we need you to confirm some information. Follow the directions on the Password Reset Registration document to register for Self Service Password Reset.

How to modify your multifactor authentication information.

1.) Log into myaccount.microsoft.com with your Midway email address.
2.) Click on the Security Tab on the left of the page.
3.) On this page, you can add, edit, or remove authentication methods.

Using Self-Service Password Reset

After you complete the registration process you can use the following link:

https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/passwordreset

Or click on the Having trouble signing in? link on the sign on the page (seen below) to reset unlock your account from any device.

Password Requirements

The following are the requirements for Midway University passwords.

• Not contain the user’s account name or parts of the user’s full name that exceed two consecutive characters 
• Be at least eight characters in length
• Cannot be the same password as the last 8 passwords used
• Contain characters from three of the following four categories: 

  • English uppercase characters (A through Z) 
  • English lowercase characters (a through z) 
  • Base 10 digits (0 through 9) 
  • Non-alphabetic characters (for example, !, $, #, %)
